Castlemaine Tower is a 22 storey, 67m tall tower block in Wandsworth, West London.
Our long-term partners Durkan UK required Embassy’s services to erect scaffolding to Castlemaine Tower to support the required cladding renewal. As with a lot of buildings of this nature, we faced a challenge with the ties as we were unable to see behind the cladding. Working with the client to overcome this issue, we came up with a solution where the Durkan site team were able to cut holes into the cladding, enabling the Embassy team to tie the scaffolding as it went up.
At any one time, there were between 6 – 10 Embassy team members working on this project and they all commented on how accommodating the residents of Castlemaine were. Whenever working on residential buildings, we recognise that a level of respect is required for people’s homes, and it’s good to know the respect is returned by the residents themselves whilst the necessary works are being carried out. The Embassy Site Services team knows how important it is to build rapport when working in these environments, and we are regularly commended on how well we manage residential projects.
“The site manager at Durkan was really accommodating and worked with us in partnership to overcome any challenges.”
