HEALTH AND SAFETY

By definition working at height is a dangerous activity, therefore it is imperative that this
danger and associated risks are mitigated and managed. The Management Systems for Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality are documented, structured and certified to UKAS endorsed standards.

• ISO 9001

• ISO 14001
• OHAS 18001

At the core of our risk management is a very strong safety culture, ensuring absolute clarity in relation to every individual’s responsibilities towards Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality. This is supported by:

• Documented and detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements

• Point of Work Risk Assessments
• A programme of site inspections conducted by Contract Managers and Supervisors.

Monthly figures are produced and analysed and all accidents, incidents or near misses are investigated at an appropriate level, as determined by the Operations Director. Lessons learnt are cascaded throughout the Company by Tool Box Talks and Safety Bulletins. Where possible behavioural safety is utilised and a PPE compliance bonus scheme has recently been introduced.

This promises safety for our workers, the public, and a quality finish to the works.
