Southwyk House was an extremely exciting project for Embassy Site Services as we were involved with the whole design and build around the entire façade of the project.
As with all projects, planning is an integral part of the operation. Approaching the complex structure that had two different areas, we worked in conjunction with Mears using a specialist team of advanced scaffolders to complete the project to the high standard needed. Due to the unfortunate events in west London earlier this year, this project was a result of the cladding needing to be removed on the Southwyk House development. This project was incredibly challenging, as we could only build the scaffold up ‘lift by lift’. This resulted in the cladding being removed as we erected the scaffold so we could tether to the building itself. All the ties had to be tested at every level (and on every lift) as the scaffold was erected.
